Huangshi Attractions

Huangshi has beautiful natural scenery such as lakes and mountains. One of its more famous sites is Feiyun Cave. As well as Dong Fang Shan (East Mountain), Oriental Mountain, and Ci Lake.

The former eastern pit of the Daye Iron Mine, which was in operation since the 1890s until 2000, has been converted into Huangshi National Mining Park (黄石国家矿山公园), where visitors can see a variety of mining equipment from the past and the present, some of it still operational.

Huangshi's climate is sub-temperate. Average annual temperature is 17 °C (63 °F) and precipitation is 1,400 mm (55.1 in). There are 264 frost free days. It snows between December and February.
Huangshi Cuisine

Hubei cuisine emphasises on the preparation of ingredients and the matching of colours. It specialises in steaming techniques. Its style is influenced by the cooking methods of the cuisines of neighbouring provinces such as Sichuan and Hunan. As a result, Hubei cuisine also uses dried hot pepper, black pepper and other spices to enhance the flavour of dishes.

Hot dry noodles

Hot dry noodles (Chinese: 热干面 pinyin rè gān miàn), also known as reganmian, is a traditional dish of Wuhan, the capital of the Hubei province in central China.Reganmian has a history in Chinese food culture for 80 years.It is a typical breakfast food in Wuhan, and is often sold in street carts in residential areas.Breakfasts such as Reganmian are available from as early as 5am and are served until midnight (breakfast turns into snacks at night).
